Agreed completely. I would much rather be writing LOB applications using .Net (C# specifically) then VB7 or C++ any day. The author of the original article is someone who spends a lot of time doing things that require C++ to do. And that's perfectly fine but that is a smaller and smaller % of development work.
Heh.. can anyone really imagine writing a web site in C++?
