This is so true. I live in India and many of the kids(16-17 year olds) i know and seen here in my community are very much inept in computer basics and get their graduate degrees through just mugging out theories and programming concepts without really understanding them. I could go out and even shout out to the world that India is the worst country in developing GOOD Quality Programmers. These poor programmers don't really spread hindrance to the softwares that are being produced but they sure decrease the level of good programming and even decrease the opportunities to the better programmers. Many don't know how to use the MS word properly....and they go on taking up computer science as there graduate courses and move on learning Various Computer Languages. I would even touch upon the fact that learning many languages isn't the right idea which many "yet to be programmers" tend to do. A single programming (or maybe 2-3) language(s) should be mastered and improved upon. Software making will be no longer be considered HARD but rather challenging.
