I was wondering if anyone would point this out. 10 giga Watts, really?

I'm in the States, and I have to point this out to people all of the time. "oh, California is installing 2500 superchargers in the next few years". Maybe so, but very few will have full capacity.

3000 1.5 mega Watt chargers in 2.5 years? 4.5 giga Watts?

So clearly they have all of the planning permissions. They must have full substations in place. Just look at the national grid planning documents. You won't find any capacity planning for these. Well, they'd need to be almost in place by now.

And batteries? Please. How many hours of 1.5 mega Watt power delivery will each of these sites have?

Wait, we aren't all going to be dead in a couple of years? All of the climate change goals were missed. CO2 levels are still at record highs. Now they are going to do, "the worst has been avoided" on us?

Charging batteries and actively pushing power back onto the grid to correct power factor and maintain grid voltage and frequency are two complete different things.

I'm a big fan of using these battery farms to stabilize the grid (voltage and frequency correction, power factor correction). One of the few things that I think that they do well. I would have been much more excited to see, "Company using recycle EV batteries for cheap grid stabilization".

Again, I just read the linked proposed law. I can get a nice piece of walnut, and make my own grips. Is printing grips illegal? Right now, you can buy a new trigger online, or you can print one. How about sights? Most modern sights are polymer. You can buy replacement parts legally, or you can print your own.

You can buy a barrel. I have gunsmith friends that make their own slides (on a CNC machine). Is that now illegal?

Go and read the bill. Tell me exactly which parts are illegal to make. Specifically.

If I want to go and make my own trigger, that is perfectly legal. My own sights, grips.... You name it.

These people understand that it is perfectly legal to buy a barrel, trigger pack, slide, spring kit.... Right?

What does "net-zero" mean? What does "carbon neutral" mean? Humanity will always produce large amounts of CO2 making concrete and through agriculture (and other sources). To get to "net-zero" doesn't that mean that industrial scale CO2 removal needs to begin immediately?
