Journal Khyber's Journal: Which is more efficient for cooking? 3

Let's do this by oven types. Which is more efficient, resistance based conventional over or radiation based microwave oven? Gas isn't an option, I know it's pretty damned efficient.

Which is more efficient for cooking?

  • Energy-efficient? (I don't know.) Time-efficient? (microwave)

Personally, I hope you take into account that food cooked in a microwave generally tastes worse than food cooked in a true oven.
  • a few years back, my annoying physics teacher was telling the class how inefficient electric heating is. I shot back by telling him that electric heaters are actually 100% efficient. He didn't believe me until I tried to get him to tell me where the loss was (all of the energy turns to heat thus 100% efficiency)

However, the nukerowave is more efficient because it heats the food but not the plate or air inside, but the USSR studied the things, and then banned them because they were dangerous. I'd own a toast

Everyone can be taught to sculpt: Michelangelo would have had to be taught how not to. So it is with the great programmers.
