The suit is kept in a climate controlled environment to slow degradation of the suit material, particularly parts of it made from rubber. A lot of this money is being used to make a 3d digital model that includes scanning the individual layers of the suit using CT scans. The suit will then be displayed online for people to see.
I may be wrong about the technology being used in the digitization process, but in principle the aim is for people to be able to see the suit without causing further damage to it by exposing the physical suit to further environmental damage. I heard this on UK radio by spokesperson for the Smithsonian
I am not sure how many software engineers are employed by Range Rover, but I expect that the subsystem providing the central locking features will have been outsourced just like all the major components to companies like Bosch, Visteon, Wipro, Yazaki etc.
In order to reduce costs the software engineers will have been outsourced to Eastern Europe and India, and although just like everywhere else the software teams will be a mixture of the competent/incompetent, it will likely be the management who will have screwed up trying to do things cheaply and quickly*

Yes, and because the donors have the threat of offering the money to another candidate.
Now the politician has the choice of refusing the donation thus allowing a rival candidate candidate to benefit, or accepting the donation and denying a rival candidate much needed campaign funds knowing there is some obligation to the donor for accepting the donation.
And that means all the high value products shipped to China will suddenly be looking a lot more expensive. No more foreign holidays and shopping trips, cost of energy and raw materials will rise pushing up factory output prices. Labor intensive industries will benefit though.
We only have to look at Russia with the collapse of the ruble to see the effect of a devalued currency. Russia has the advantage of being energy self-sufficient but is struggling to buy replacement parts for those industries because of sanctions
For banking and loans to work there is a simple rule, if you are foolish enough to make a bad loan to someone who probably won')t pay it back, then you pay the price when they default. Instead the people who make the bad loans (i.e. bankers) get to keep their bonuses profits and everyone else gets to pay for their stupidity, greed and corruption.
This is a perfect example of moral hazard, and the bank executives should either be in jail, have their fortunes confiscated or both
The trouble with being poor is that it takes up all your time.
