Journal: The Big Move

So in a few hours, I'll be making the move from Windows XP Media Center Edition to Kubuntu. I've got a few concerns with it, as I do some graphics (mainly 3D renders, Terragen, for example) as a hobby, and the less I have to use Windows (as I've become increasingly pissed off with it), the happier I will be. I'm completely new to *nix, in fact, running Knoppix off LiveCD today was the first time I'd even operated it, let alone even seen it. I expected it to be much worse for me, but after a few minutes of working with it, I was fairly comfortable with it, and was very glad to see the Start menu gone and replaced. Now if only I can get all my .m4a music (I can hear the hissing already, shut up, I know I'm a heathen) put on there, I'll be happy. That and Terragen.
