The fundamental problem of apple moving all it's production to china, as many many other multinationals is that they 'falsely' assume that china will CONTINUE to respect them. I suspect in the future, you are going to see a requirement from china that apple, tesla, dell, ibm, cisco, microsoft, google, facebook, etc, will be REQUIRED to provide chinese authorities access to the source code. Make no mistake about it, china has ZERO respect for american 'rights'. As long as it's more profitable for them to pretend they are 'partners', china will play that game. When the US and China actually get into a new 'cold war', all those factories, all that technology, all those increases profits for shareholders is going to go out the window. I fully expect china to demand access to more source code, more research and development, in exchange for 'cheap labor'. But at some point, within the next 10 years, china is just going to nationalize every..single..us companies assets. You are going to see a 'clone iphone', 'clone tesla', clone dell server, clone google, clone microsoft, built with stolen technology. Make no mistake about it, American companies and their overwhelming greed to squeeze every penny of profit is going to bite them in the ass. China does not give a crap about copyrights, or patents, or anything that makes american companies 'valuable'. This is not new, this is just history repeating itself.
