The recent Navy footage of exotic vehicles means one of two possibility's. 1) Electorgravitics is real and in the 1950's Humans work in the field was successful and someone is now flying exotic vehicles operating with no regard to gravity or inertia. 2) Aliens :) Either way -- A version of this technology is in use now, on earth and its provable.

I'm not so sure. I think we have hit a plateau in performance vs potential. During all the other 'G's I couldn't wait for more speed to do what I needed to do quickly. This time around I cant think of why I would want the heat and battery hit for promised speeds. I think what end users want now is efficiency.

Other industry's (Often with more players.) are static by comparison. This is a great example of real competition, here we can see the benefits of not letting a single company buy, dominate or force an under the table deal with competition in order to stop real competition and progress. This should be a usefully model to help draw people intelligent conclusions in our present reality of business giants (who are often clearly monopolies) dominating world economics.
