Submission + - TG Daily-Transit Authority jumps in front of train (tgdaily.com)

Jophiel04 writes: In a nice bit of irony, the MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority), while succeeding in gaining an injunction against three MIT students which barred them from presenting at DEFCON about security vulnerabilities they uncovered in the fare system spoiled their own plans by naming the white paper which was marked as confidential into evidence, thus releasing it into the public domain. The white paper is an interesting read, and draws into question the MBTA's earlier statements that they needed to evaluate whether a security vulnerability actually did exist or not.
