Sorry, but for business things you really do have to use Skype. It is what everyone uses, so you just have to go with it. That is cold hard truth. If you want UNIX OS, then just use Mac. I do and love it.

This just seems more like bad mouthing about MS and XBOX360. It was already debunked on Slashdot too, because MS doesn't store credit card details on the machine. They only store account details. Microsoft is right - this is just some unfounded rumor that has no basis on reality.

The funny thing is that Linux users still seem to be under this belief about their OS. The truth is that every OS gets malware, it's just about the market share.

There's a simple reason for this. Google has been heavily pushing Chrome to end-users via advertisements, their search engine, YouTube, and by making deals with computer manufacturers and software authors (adware) by paying them to spread Chrome. On workplaces this tactic doesn't really work as individual workers are often unable to install adware and other malware on their computers as IT knows what they are doing and have restricted that. It is quite similar to why most spam is sent from home computers - users don't know how to secure and maintain their systems.

Before he started working as journalist, he was a programmer and a system administrator, so I can see where he is coming from and why Linux interests him. Back in the early 90's I worked very closely with him and it was a blast. He actually has contributed a lot to the Windows kernel and where from Microsoft took most of his good ideas to Windows and which later became the most successful OS ever produced. On OS X side, he has contributed to the creation of Linux like distro system, called App Store, and many of the technology aspects of it come from him.

It's great to see he is still covering Linux and FOSS in general, after 20 years. Awesome fella.

Wait, what? Why would anyone wear clothes at their own home? It's much nicer to be naked. And no, that you have a significant other to care about isn't a valid answer. None of my hot girlfriends have ever had problems with me being nude around them, and I'm a quite fat guy too.
