What do you find missing from JavaFX - I'm one of the engineers on the JavaFX team and am curious about what exactly you need?

JTable? That's easy. Now, make me a true multicolumn JTree.

JavaFX ships with a TreeTableView control specifically to do this.

Can I suggest you look at Centruflow, which is an application designed to analyse dynamic data in a nice, user friendly way.
