My first experiment with RC aerial videography

  • I would have watched the whole thing but I'm feeling a bit queasy. I think it was the combo of the turns with the rolling back and forth.

Yeah, gotta work on smoothing out my piloting skills. The extra wing loading from the weight of the camera makes the plane a little harder to handle than it normally would be.

  • Especially for a test flight. It didn't really get to me but, then again, it also reminded me of a couple landings I've had to abort:-) I think the other problem was the sun being so low on the horizen. Shifting from the high contrast to the low contrast with every circle certainly added to it. If you can do it at high noon, I think the turning will be far less noticeable.

I also just want to say that I love these projects. This is what was awesome about /. back in the day, geeky things like this :-)

Economists can certainly disappoint you. One said that the economy would turn up by the last quarter. Well, I'm down to mine and it hasn't. -- Robert Orben
