The rendering is as bright and accurate as you get with a single PC driving a projector. With the new video cards, you can get a $2000 PC that is almost as fast as SGI's biggest box at $75,000.
Also, CaveQuake is an excellent tool. It's actually what inspired us to make CaveUT. Anyone who has an existing SGI-based cave should use it.
