Based on playing with the site for a few minutes and reading through posts so far it seems like perception of this feature depends on what you are searching for and how you enter the search terms. Perception of this feature also seems to be dependent upon the user's pre-judgment of Google vs. Wolfram Alpha, but that's probably best left for another discussion. Of course Google will produce some strange and/or invalid results for the search terms since it is searching then entire internet whereas Alpha is only searching a small subset of sites that it has deemed worthy.

Whoa now, if those are coming into the discussion how can you possibly forget Lemonade Stand? Personally the one that made the most difference to me was QBasic. Very easy to understand programming language that came free on all the machines I had access to. True it wasn't very useful in the end, but it opened up my imagination as to what I could do with a computer to no end.

After the planning, thinking, doing nothing, etc. I think my ritual would be comparable to everyone else's. Put music player on random and slip on the headphones. Close ALL communications applications. Expand IDE across two monitors Turn off the blackberry Close the door Code away Then if anyone comes in and bothers me I give them dirty looks and short answers until they leave.
