Everybody knows that Storage is measured in powers of ten while solid-state memory is measured in powers of two.
5 x 10 ^ 11 = 500,000,000,000 = 1/2 terabyte storage
1 x 2 ^ 39 = 549,755,813,888 = 1/2 terabyte memory
