It wasn't until a colleague from the purchasing dept. *actually* emailed me personally that I realized they weren't.
If FB had actually been an honest company that truly cared about connecting users they might have sat in a beloved and treasured position rather than the poisonous rat they are. In contra I've never really heard of anybody hating Steam on moral objections. Yeah, they have a solid monopoly and flaws, but the underlying motivation is just to sell games and connect players. But Steam never had an IPO so I presume the distinction is fragging MBAs.
I admittedly suffered through the nVIDIA FX years, but this pricing nonsense has me reconsidering AMD again.
