Submission + - SPAM: Is anyone out there still using Jumio

Jah Shaka writes: We are trying to find out if anyone is still using Jumio after their bankruptcy and legal issues. A consultant at our company was tricked into signing a contract by their sales staff the day before their bankruptcy started (under the guise of a demo access agreement) and they have refused to cancel the contract and have been hounding us ever since for payment in full despite not giving us access to any of their systems. We are a small startup who needs ID verification but the $18,000 yearly contract is a lot of cash to risk loosing at this point and they are threatening to take us to collections and ruin our credit if we dont pay up!!!

Comment Well they were jerks... (Score 0) 35

Those guys were jerks anyway - we flew all the way from Jamaica to Canada to see them - just to meet with them about getting Bitcoin ATM's and terminals in Jamaica - and they totally blew us off. Never turned up to the meeting then sent us a terminal to the hotel that we had to pay $800 dollars for or the trip would have been a total bust.

then when we got back to Jamaica they told us they dont do phone support - just online - so took us weeks to get our terminals up and running. currently they are in the dustbin along with coinkite huraaaaa maybe they pissed someone else off !!!

Comment Public Search (Score 0) 378

Based on the amount of Cash Google makes, and the fact that their entire systm is automated (adsense and adwords) on would think that a public search engine would be able to fund itself, pay for its own servers, and pay for a management team to run it? I would have thought that if the guys behind Cuil.com were to have taken this direction they would have been massively sucessful.... what ever happened to them?

Comment Turn to electric cars! (Score 0) 764

Well this is just one more good reason to take the move to plugin electric cars seriously, the majority of oil is burnt up in transport every day and if the public were to boycott gas burning vehicles (seems we all already forgot about the BP spill in the gulf) we could avoid the apocalypse that the oil wars will surely bring about. Plugin electic cars and clean nuclear energy are the answer.... Obama is pushing America in that direction but the public needs to get behind this transition http://www.plugin.com/2010/09/alexander-agrees-with-obama-on-electric-vehicles/

Submission + - Future of the Auto industry (ebay.co.uk)

Jah Shaka writes: The plugin.com domain has been listed for sale on bay with the following overview, "Plugin.com is a premium domain that is ideal for the new and exploding industry for plugin electric automobiles, which is widely seen as the future of the automotive industry, a multi-billion dollar marketplace. It can be used to buy, sell and trade plugin electric cars or to provide services from access to a electric grid to the sale of batteries and aftermarket components." will this be the .com to drive the electric auto market to mainstream?
