Bollocks. Currently less than 10% of NIH grant proposals are funded. If the 15% overhead change goes into effect, the most likely outcome will be that the overall funding will remain constant and 15% of the NIH grant proposals will be now funded. One major flaw in the existing tenure system is that often those researchers that manage to stay funded through the tenure process can't manage it one tenured.

Considering that the newer nodes aren't producing a much heat reduction as hoped for their processors, continually compressing the computer into a smaller space is not a useful improvement (certainly not for battery lifespan). The M1 MacBook Air was their peak in terms of maximum performance for minimal thermals.

Don't really care at this point. Twitter decided to permanently ban my Twitter account and denied reversal on review while refusing to provide a single example of the claimed spam violations. Interestingly, I was banned shortly after suggest in a reply to Elon that he would have better luck with Blue if there was a yearly $70 price like locals.com which gave a small discount for paying for a full year. Coincidence?
