Jack William Bell's Journal: Visual Molecular Dynamics (VMD)

This link is for my friend Jim Kling: VMD is a free (source available) visualization program for displaying, animating, and analyzing large biomolecular systems in 3D. Simulations may be created via scripting. VMD can even create movies of the simulations in action.

Ack! Flashback to grad school, sitting in front of a giant monitor, wearing 3d goggles and staring at molecules docked into the active sites of enzymes. Ack! Looks cool. Not sure if it'll work on my rather lame standard installation Compaq video card, but I'll give it a shot.
