Jack William Bell's Journal: Back in the saddle

Even though my wife says I shouldn't apologize for not posting when I take a break I always feel like I really should. Especially when people email me asking if I am still alive. (Which is kind of weird if you think about it. Posting to a blog as proof of life? I could easily set up a program to autopost and then shoot myself. Not that I would mind you. What I am saying is that I don't think 'blogito ergo sum' is what the philosopher had in mind. But I digress, not to mention putting Descarte before the horse...)

So anyway, I really am sorry I haven't been posting. My excuse is that I was on crunch time at work and was putting in seventy-plus hours a week for a while. On the other hand I went code complete a few days ago, so that isn't an excuse anymore. Not even many bugs to fix, which worries me: They gotta be there somewhere and I would rather fix them early in the Beta than late. Instead I have been putting in shorter hours writing an HTML parser (don't ask) and (in my off hours) getting caught up on the UT playing I missed while I was busy.

I promise that I will post pretty regularly for a while now. Or at least until the next unannounced blogcation!

Great to be back. I did save up a lot of links, I just didn't feel I had time to post so I didn't. Then I had to get started again, but now I am over that hump.
