Journal JWSmythe's Journal: Advanced psychic phenomena 17
Without trying to sound too wierd, I'm writing this.
Isn't that always a good start?
Say you knew someone who has premonitions. Say 10 second visions, that actually occur 6 months to 2 years later. They're seen as dreams the first time, and real events the second time.
Say this person has them in a frequency of none for months, or up to 4 per day. This person has had this ability since childhood. The first remembered incident was when he was about 8 years old.
4 10 second snapshots of reality per day can be very unsettling.
Knowing 10 seconds of a conversation, verbatum. The words. The intonation. The facal expression of the speakers.
Seeing 10 seconds of a real event, knowing exactly what will happen. And most importantly, knowing the path the event will take, and being able to change the event at the end, after recognizing it for what it's for.
The visions come more frequently before major life-changing events, but with no rhyme or reason. For example, maybe one a week 3 months before the event. 2 a week a month before the event. A 3 to 4 times a day the month before the event. Then nothing in the days leading up to the real event, but ideas of what's about to happen. Sometimes a dream just days before it happens, but nothing obvious.
Does anyone know of any sort of training, or suggested reading, to help control this. Not control it, like make it go away. Control, like being able to tune the ability to signficiant events in the near future. The ability is very clearly present, he just wants to make the viewed events more significant.
It would be very nice to have control to know "This will happen in 20 minutes" or "This is an important event that needs prepreation or to be changed."
I know my friends list is long on here, and those friends have many other friends. If anyone can dig up some good information on the topic, I would appreciate it. Please post in reply to this JE, or email me if you know my Email address. I will pass the information on to my friend.
The behavior has already been displayed and proven to me, I have absolutely no doubt that it exists.

I have those moments as well; that deja vu, with the creeping feeling that I want to be as far away as I can be. it makes my skin crawl, and my stomach tie up in knots.
i think part of it is being aware of what's going on; to write down your dreams, so that you can come back to them later after something has happen

Yep. Many people who say they're psychic also treat it like it's something special. I don't think that it's as uncommon as most people think. I believe that we're all capable of 'psychic' abilities. Just some work on honing that ability.
By 'writing it down' I just meant that you should put the dreams down on paper, or in bits. you could even just have a text file that you edit, maybe one a month or one a week. Online or not, eh.

I think you're right. If we were taught to talk, read, and type, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. Humans have all kinds of abilities.
