"Insurrectionists" inflict no casualties. "Insurrectionists" brandish no weapons.

So at best, you want to call it a violent but potentially non-lethal attempt to harm and potentially overturn the government of the United States?

A strange claim to make..

Translation at Foxconn: Indian factory workers complain more than Chinese factory workers over same conditions. Infrastructure like roads and electricity are crappy. Government suing for retroactive taxes is still a thing. Why are we manufacturing here?

I don't know what the right balance is between workers' rights and workers complaining. However, there is a reason why everyone loves to set up factories in China. Despite the organ harvesting. Despite the genocide. Despite the jailing of press and dissidents. Despite the threats it poses to democracies worldwide. But if we (democracies) cannot get manufacturing right, we're going to continue depend on China. Which gives power to CCP.

I've been using DDG on all my devices for the last several years. I think their strengths compared to google are 1) clean interface between results and ads 2) privacy and 3) equal or sometimes superior results to google. I use internet for 3-4 hours every day and I haven't made a query with google for at least two years now. Enjoying the experience!

I've been using there work for free for like 20 years now. They do good work, and are the only viable alternative to Chromium. I'm okay with them trying to figure out how to be financially sustainable.

I've been donating to them for 10+ years now. They do good work, but the constant pressure for new sources of "monetization" worries me. Do I want to spend rest of my life looking out for this, or just pay and get it over with? That's the debate I have currently.

I feel that Andy Yen is being a little bit deceptive here. The problem isn’t that his company has to comply with order from Swiss govt, it’s understandable that companies must operate under the jurisdiction of their governments (or choose to shutdown like Lavabit did). But the REAL problem demonstrated in this case is that another country’s government (in this case, the French government) can compel Swiss government to bend so easily. It isn’t even a case of murder or rape. What’s so great about privacy under Swiss law compared to other major Western democratic nations then??
