they need good insulation.
I find comments like this from UK people rather baffling.
You need good insulation regardless of your heating source - otherwise you're just burning money.
My 1910 house in London needed £20,000 of insulation (minimum) added making the total bill £25000. We ARE being overcharged for heat pumps
You're being over-charged for your insulation too. When I renovated my home in NZ I went completely OTT with insulation, ripped out the old stuff and re-did the floor, walls and roof insulation with the max I could fit in - it cost me a 10th of what you quoted.
they just don't want illegal immigrants to have any rights whatsoever
What these people are too stupid to understand is that if one person loses the right to due process, everyone loses their right to due process.
Awwww, it's so cute - he thinks there's going to be another election!
They are all looking down at their screens.

And if bullshit was music, you'd be a brass band.
> We could use the money in much more productive ways.
But we won't.
These days he's a Putin-loving anti-vaxxer - the US is welcome to his fat arse.
Confess or we'll leak your grubby porn watching habits to all your friends and family...
I don't want to make this overtly political, but who you vote for makes a difference because:
Companies can regulate themselves, but they rarely do, and even more rarely for any length of time. Sooner or later some chancer is going to discover he can put the squeeze on quality in order to make some more $$$.
Think about this before you vote for someone who tells you they're going to "slash red tape", "get rid of burdensome regulation", or reduce "compliance costs".
Think about this if you don't want to end up eating diseased food, drinking toxic water, or flying in planes that fall out of the sky.
How bad exactly would it have had to be that you took it serious, I wonder.
It would have to personally affect them, Otherwise any measures taken are just a "knee jerk"
False. The countries that did the best overall did not have lockdowns.
False. New Zealand had lockdowns and closed the border. Covid was eliminated within 3 months. Lockdowns ended, and things went back to normal for months.
During that period New Zealand had NEGATIVE excess deaths.
Show me a country without lockdowns that can beat that.
"several big-name companies sold versions of it around the world"
Tried to would be more accurate.
I once owned a version of the QL sold by ICL - it had a built in modem and a telephone, and was marketed as the must have for the executive desktop.
The built in modem probably sounded like a good idea, but technology was moving so fast at the time that a 300 bps only modem was quickly outdated. The built in terminal program was very primitive.
I got mine from a mate who worked for Telecom NZ - they were sitting on a pile of them they couldn't move. I ended up using it as a glorified telephone (the built in directory was OK). I had an Amiga at the time and the QL couldn't come close to competing with it in software and performance.
And rabbits. one, two, three, four, hrair
