I wonder if the legislator involved in passing this turd of a bill was either an antiques dealer or an auctioneer. These people see eBay as cutting into their business and have heavily lobbied in my state of NH to pass protectionist laws to save their own businesses, all under the aegis of protecting the customers from unscrupulous eBayers; a sweet set up for them if they manage it.
