A lot of anime distributors do this already. DVD box sets that come with related T-shirts or toys are common. I have also bought DVDs that came with fold-out posters, pencil boards, soundtracks, and finger puppets. I guess they have a longer history of competing with fansubbed material, and they have found a way to keep making money despite rampant copyright infringement.

Seriously, no one has mentioned Mario Kart yet? Where the random effects of items only got worse in the Wii version? (Increase to 12 racers, more powerful items like Bullet Bill, red shell no longer dodgable with sparks)

I must admit however, that the increased chaos does lead to a greater depth of gameplay and more experience players are better able to compensate for it. Still doesn't help when you're about to cross the finish line and get hit with a blue shell, red shell one-two punch and wind up finishing in 5th.

You mean ten or more pieces of molded plastic? Lego minifigs have a fair number of moving parts, not to mention the faces and other designs painted on. I'm impressed that it's as cheap as $1.

I've seen Mega Bloks for sale alongside Legos for years. However, Mega Bloks suck. They wear out faster and don't fit together as well because they use a lower-grade plastic. I got Tyco blocks for Christmas back in 1984, and they didn't kill Lego either. If Lego dies, it won't be because of shoddy imitations from Mega Brands.
