Comment Obvious manipulation (Score 0) 33

Ask any competent cyber security "who is the world leader in hacking, exploits and general cyber skullduggery", and they will only have one answer. Yet the country behind such exploits as Stuxnet, and so many other exploits, appears not on the list of attackers, but on the list of victims? That would appear strange to some people I am sure

Comment Edgy larping by privileged people (Score 1) 59

Wouldn't this be insurrectionism and domestic terrorism if literally anyone else besides the people who are doing this were doing it? Like imagine if Trumpers were at this sort of thing, how would the FBI respond. I know these sort of people. They don't want genuine change - their family is high up in the system, cousins in Goldman Sachs and friends high up in the bureaucracy, and they just want some edgy thrills and larping. A bit of fun, power and wealth having fun, carried out with the tacit approval of the authorities.

So it's either a high tech assault by people who have only ever wanted to be left alone, or it's just a bunch of Americans being paranoid nuts, as usual. Which is more likely, Cubans attacking Americans, or Americans having an incident of mass psychosis. Historically, which has happened more often?
