It would have been nice if they tried Xubuntu too. Ubuntu based,
XFCE as a light, yet feature rich (to some extent) desktop. Clean, good looking, very responsive. Some screenies here.
To spot the expert, pick the one who predicts the job will take the longest and cost the most.
