I'm not sure why no-one has mentioned this, but since they haven't, i feel inclined to post it. In recording studios around the world, the two industry standard pieces of software are emagic's "Logic Audio", and Digidesign's "ProTools". Most people have probably heard of these. ProTools is available for both Windows and Mac (OSX only for the new version, and they don't sell the old one anymore), but the PC version has seriously limited functuality in comparison to the Mac version. Logic Audio used to be available for both PC and Mac, but most people found the PC version a lot easier to use, so many recording studio's, especially the large ones, have Mac G4s with ProTools and Windows PCs with Logic Audio.
However, recently emagic announced that the new version of Logic Audio would be Mac only. This means that in the next 6 to 12 months, many studio's will be switching their logic audio machines from PC to mac, which means a steady sale of G4s, Powerbooks, and in some studio's, iPod's aswell. With the two industry standard pieces of software Mac only, Apple has a very nearly 100% market share in the Music Industry, which is why I do not think they will go bankrupt within the near future.
