I've just logged into slashdot for the first time in ages - prompted by the wish to post an observation about that idiotic (though admittedly fiendishly clever) MyDoom grudge-worm. I previously had a user ID, but I no longer remember the password, so I had to invent a new nickname and a new password for myself.

I sincerely loathe the spammers who have forced SlashDot to make the whole procedure so long-winded.
