That's what they want you to think. That's their disingenuous pitch. It's a transaction fee. Most pensions and other retirement funds are buy and hold kind of things. They do very few transactions. It's the high frequency day traders that would be hit the hardest. For the common man, it would be negligible.

Just a little digging gets info that shows it's not your run of the mill motherboard: 12 ECC DIMM slots that supports up to 1.5TB of RAM, 8 PCIe slots, supports a 28 core Xeon W. The closest one I found would be an ASUS motherboard that is ~$1800.

I think this version should be fine. They screwed up trying to make the Trashcan Mac as perfect as it could be at launch and didn't really think of the future... or gambled on the wrong future (Thunderbolt ports will be all the expansion anybody will ever need!). This Cheesegrater Mac is definitely a lot more upgradable as a form factor. No weird circle form and prism shaped motherboard this time. I'm not worried about upgrades with this version.

It's got wide platform support. No video chat but it does have voice and text chat.

OR the backup process was completely borken (not even new material) and they never knew until they tried to retrieve the backups. That's why it is always important to constantly test the full backup process... backup AND restore... to make sure everything is working okay. The problem with doing it this way is that it takes time and most people/businesses don't want to deal with it and skip the restore part. But oh look... that last software patch made the backups unreadable... doh! ;)
