I switched to Tello after 20 year of t-mobile. Same network and you can make international calls. Very simple setup. Their unlimited data/text/call plan is $25 + tax. I now have 2GB data and unlimited text/call for $10 +tax which suits me. You can make calls from abroad over wifi or buy credit to add international roaming. Tried it out in Portugal and Holland earlier this year and it worked as planned.

All this stuff about paying for bags etc. has left me only traveling in First (US domestic) and Business (International to Europe & Australia). I started doing it because of my husbands needs, and have not changed it since he passed away. When I still traveled for work, I would always get permission from the company to upgrade my flights (paid for by me of course).

I went back to my my home country (Netherlands) for two months in December/January to spend as much time visiting with my mum. I would travel to see my mum in the morning and when i would come back after a five hour trip and visit, I would start working around 3 pm until midnight or later. My work is in all time zones in the US and India as well.
Although I was very happy to be able to have the flexibility to do this, it was a very heavy schedule to maintain. On top of that it was winter in Holland and I missed my southern California sun!
She passed away in March.

Having seen glioblastoma from close up and seeing my partner die from it a horrible death, I would say this might finally be something that would be worth taking a risk for.

There are a lucky few escaping the fatality, but most succumb in a year or two. My partner was 'lucky' to have survived for seven years, but died last October.

I've read the original article mentioned in Dutch, and the gist of it is really that it isn't illegal to simply use someone else's network (even when it is encrypted), but it would be illegal to start browsing electronic files in that network.
