For most gamers, 32GB should be enough. For anyone that thinks there is no reason to have more, clearly you haven't had to user Hyper-V (or another VM) to have separate versions of Windows (or Linux) running at the same time you do your work. I have 64 GB on my office desktop (bought 5 years ago) and I use it all the time. Having a Windows 11 VM with a dedicated 16 GB of RAM, another 16 for another VM, and still 32 GB for your main computer makes all the difference. Also, I recommend 32 GB as the standard even for work machines. Teams is a resource hog. My previous home computer, built in 2017, had 32 GB of RAM. My new one built a year ago also has 32 GB of RAM. I thought about going to 64 GB, but with DDR5 I think I read something about degrading performance. I'll stick with 32 GB for now.

Agreed. Having an idea is a start. Actually turning that idea into a reality is what matters. That said, I'll give true "idea" people a little more credit than the ones that like to talk about ideas, but can't do anything practical. I had a subordinate once that wouldn't learn the simplest tasks with managing Active Directory, let alone our software deployment and inventory solutions (all free), but tried to talk my boss into signing us up to use LanDesk to solve it all. Free and working vs (at the time) $5000 up front and and $1000/year for software that was even more complex (and more likely for him to screw up). So having a good idea and making it reality: great. Having a good idea and not going further, who cares. Just talking about others ideas/solutions and being unable to make decisions and/or implement anything is the worst.
