Things were very different when I began my career in Infomation Technologies. I was a twenty year old student in a two year technical college and thought I would get the FCC license to service radio transmitters. My professor had a salesman friend that was marketing and remarketing mini systems to exploitable small businesses in the area. He needed a little cheap part time technical help. I worked 50 hours my first week for $5.50 per hour. Slightly above minimum wage back in 1981.
