Comment Re:What about (Score 1) 638

I went to a bar in Windsor, Ontario and was blown away by the greatest invention. They had a freakin 25 cent breathalyzer that told you exactly how drunk you were! That's BRILLIANT!

But what happens when that little machine becomes the newest novelty bar game?

"Hey Joe, betcha I can get wasted before you can..."

Then you end up with someone who would have probably been drinking and driving anyway, but they have now consumed much more than they may have planned, in a much shorted timeframe. That's just asking for problems, and it is actually viewed as a liability by a lot of bars.

Submission + - VeriSign Increases Domain Name Pricing

BillGatesLoveChild writes: CNET reports VeriSign has made its move, increasing domain name prices by 7%. From October 15 2007, .com domains will now cost $6.42 (up from $6) and .net domains $3.85 per annum. ICANN had previously voted to support the increase. With complaints about the pair running back to 2002, what can we the public do to get our elected representatives to take the great domain name ripoff seriously?

At this time, Alexander Sotirov (chief reverse engineer at Determina) has said that the proof-of-concept exploit code won't be released until there is a patch available in Firefox. What's interesting about this is the fact that Firefox doesn't have the benefit of Protected Mode under Vista, which can somewhat mitigate the damage that can be done if Internet Ex
