Personal data, which includes your phonebook, location, and every picture message etc. should not be collected period. Just the fact they can essentially listen in on your calls is reprehensible. The fbi is simply using this as an excuse to force a backdoor. Whatever is on that phone is not going to save the world or any other goddamn thing. Regardless, encryption will always win as security is more important than the govt trying to control everything. Fuck em. I'd tell em to shove that phone up their ass.

I've never had the choice of cox. No pun intended. I have always used either the local dsl, twc, or now, att fios. I've downloaded terabytes through twc with no worries, albeit with blocklists. Almost the moment I started using fios, att sent me a letter in regards to illegal download of some pos garbage movie. I turned on forced encryption through my client and haven't heard a word since. I stopped using blocklists altogether prior to that as a protest against the tyrrany.

For all the hate about ff, I think it's unfounded. There is no such thing as secure browsing unless you boot up tails 2.0. Users of any browser have to be smart and take steps to "be secure". I find it hilarious people consider chrome secure with google basically sitting on your fucking shoulder the whole time. It's like using an iphone with safari and telling everyone you browse privately and securely. Load of crap.

It's missing gps, like most all laptops & netbooks and to have it be preconfigured with windows 10 is a no go straight up. My R12 has a 'ublock' gps/sim chipset and I doubt, I could be wrong though, that it would work with a linux distro. The price is nice though but no gps makes it useless.
