In 1978 the OMW (Original Mortal Wombat) was filmed starring Horatio the Wombat and a young Jean-Claude Van Damme (aka Jean-Claude Camille François Van Varenberg) as the kick boxing meerkat. While much critical acclaim was heaped onto the film the public already innudated with Wombats From Mars, Wombat Brigade, Two Men and a Wombat, Wombatman, Wombat and Hutch, and the XXX feature 2,000 Cum Crazy Wombats just never went to see it.
