Just an idea, how about throwing in something from before the "Golden Age" of Sci-Fi?
I am thinking of "Doc" EE Smith with his "Lensman" series.
Not that anything he wrote came to pass, but how many things he did not predict.
For example, he has nothing about computers in any of his books, nor anything about bio-technology or similiar things.
Your class might find some interesting things in how Science Fiction of the 1930's and early 1940's saw the world and how it might become in the future.
Just an idea for something completely different.
