Sony cuts price on PS3 in Japan

Hellboy0101 writes: It appears as though Microsoft's move to include an external HD-DVD player for the XBox 360 has forced Sony to drop the price of the base PS3 in Japan. Perhaps the thought of losing yet another format war has scared Sony into rethinking it's strategy. Hopefully a US and European price cut will follow.
