It is the almost homogeneous nature of the
Operating systems on the internet that
permit the infectiveness of the viruses.
The best answer is to disperse as much as possible
the fundamental languages spoken on the net.
I've used PAL8, DOS, Assembler code
various flavors of Windows, Unix
My answer has been been Macs
No viruses / worms / etc. ever
for as long as I've been a user (1984)
My Macs just work....
