Journal: Win vs. *nix

I'm so tired of this debate. I'll openly say I'm an avid Windows user. My server is 2003 with SQL Server 2005 and running ASP .NET 2.0 pages. I love windows. So flame me. tell me how much of a n00b I am. I'd love to hear it. Tell me how awful Microsoft is when they've been providing me free OSs for years. XP is the best operating system I've used to date. It's fast. Easy to secure and easy to use. There's no reason windows should have viruses. Windows gets exploited more because more people use it. That and the users are morons. But why? because it's so easy to use. I've tried using linux. Several times in fact. And the thing that continuously drives me away is the fact that i get PWNED by package dependecies. If i want some software that isn't already installed, I have to install 3 packages for every package the program needs. Quite annoying.

However. I'm not bashing anyone for using *nix (only Apple users, you art fags. lol. jk). When it comes right down to it people use what they're comfortable with. The only people that must declare their OS dominant over others are the ones that got beat up in high school for being a dork. It's a security thing... personal security, as in. you're insecure. If you're going to flame people because of their OS. Please. Think of the open source community and everyone you represent before displaying your lack of maturity. When I see Whiney_Mac_Fanboy and the 20 replies to his post, each one flaming his post, and him retorting to each and every one (article here), I lose respect for the 'faction' he is representing. It makes me think that all *nix users are annoying immature children.
