I am skeptical that EVs donâ(TM)t have end of service / reliability issues at 14 yrs just like the Camry. The EV has all the same sub systems as a ICE vehicle except the power train. They still have brakes, suspensions, cooling systems, HVAC, tires, infotainment electronics and seat cushions ..etc⦠Now I am sure the Tesla is more akin to the Camry because it was over engineered to sell the reliability point. However I bet the other automakers using laptop cells and their planned obsolescence reliability models will not be as good.

Its not exactly clear to me what the mission of the ISS Is. When looking on NASA websites it certainly reads like its a perpetual research labratory. That seems fine for a building in a stable enviroment. However, there are components of the station that have been operational for over 25 years and considering the complex relationship we have with Russia I don't see it as a bad thing to end the mission before someone gets hurt. We should be reviewing the remaining research being conducted at the ISS; review and prioritiz so the mission can draw down. Putting Nasa on a 2 year notice to end the mission and de-orbit doesn't seem like a bad idea to discuss.

I think what this really says is that the personal computer is such a stagnant platform that the only people bothering to upgrade are those who found the need to replace their existing machine. After 10 years of ownership you may have a perfectly well maintained car but it will cost you more than the value of the car to get it running again. For something already 10 years old. Also the data from Car and Driver only samples tesla owners. Tesla's are well engineered, but the competition has a very dramatic swing in quality. Talk to any Volt owner.
