I agree. I didn't know how good theater-going could be until I started going to the Hoff Theater at the University of Maryland. When the theater is packed full and there's a funny, cliched, shocking, scary, or suggestive bit in the movie---man, it's great. The reactions are hardly predictable: half the audience was trying to stifle belly laughs during the hackneyed suspense scenes in Assault on Precinct 13. I don't know who said college kids have poor taste.
