Comment anti-vaxxers? (Score 1) 97

"Messing with 2FA is the anti-vaccination misinformation of security." I don't get this analogy. 2FA is something that normally improves your security, your, er, online health. A 2FA "anti-vaxxer" might therefore be one who argues against the benefits of 2FA and suggests that it actually decreases your security, and tells people not to use it. But that's all a crazy conspiracy theory, right? I mean, how could using 2FA actually jeopardize your security? Unless this article were to be suggesting exactly that. Full disclosure: My 4-year-old got his DTAP / IVP and MMR yesterday. :)

Wow I didn't realize how much I should love slashdot until both Ben Edlund and Bruce Campbell stories appeared within 24 hours. :) In Mario Puzo's book The Last Don, he gives a lot of insight into the movie industry. People who get percentages of the profit are typically screwed because they can make anything look like costs. You're only a real star if you get a bit of the revenue - off the top. So maybe it could be an even tinier percentage, of revenue. Funny the exact same thing came up in Bruce Cambpell's stuff - he was mentioning he'd love to go back and do more Brisco County, Jr. - and could do a movie a year with just $500k. I'd love to contribute to the Brisco fund.
