Comment Just Starting (Score 1) 1493

Oh, yes, things are just starting to get interesting. Before all that long we'll have hundreds of fast cores, each one evolving a local section of vast a neural network via genetic algorithms. The human brain runs around 100 teraflops - the next generation consoles will push a teraflop for a few hundred bucks. And you don't have to program all 100 trillion synaptic strengths and dendrite connections by hand, all you need is to reverse engineer the genome's learning algorithms that allow the brain to grow (there's some specialization built in of course - visual cortex vs. frontal vs. cerebellum and so on).

We will grow and teach true AI, and things will continue to evolve, faster and faster. We're going to cause it to my friend - the future is ours to create. This is just the very beginning.

Journal Journal: Post 3!

Hmmm, just realized I've only had a measly 2 journal entries, so I thought I'd add another. Thought of the day: All ASORs exist, and if it is then valid to place them and count them in a complete compact implicit representation, then we get that observers evolving in time form the largest subset of the mathematical ensemble. Worth repeating!

Journal Journal: No more money

i wish manual labor robots would hurry up and get here so we didn't have to worry about friggin money anymore, and could put all sorts of things in space - like a real space station, a big rotating torus a couple klicks across, a whole bunch of gravity wave detectors and enormous telescopes on the moon to scope for life on other planets... Roboticists - get to work!

Journal Journal: No, fuck you, I'm not going to put down a Subject! ...Rock!!

Figured I'd contribute a few more damn bits of info to the petabit memesphere - but these, dear reader, are the most important bits ever written! Whoo-hoo! Here it is - all information exists, and we are observers evolving in time, because out of all the ways of existing, there is a higher cardinality of observers growing exponentially eternally than of any other type of abstract structure.
