AGW is recognized by a consensus of scientist in every major scientistic organization in every developed country in the world. And yes, scientist convincing other scientist about the validity of novel ideas is absolutely how science works and it's measured through citations of peer-reviewed articles in high-impact journals. The hysterics come from concrete thinkers who are convinced that we either live exactly as do today with fossil fuels as our energy source or we live like hippies on a commune. Utterly based on an false dichotomy. Have some faith in human ingenuity and the free market. Alternative energy sources can and will be found. We don't need to have huge uncessary upheavals of water and agriculture that will cause refugee crises and wars so that a select few can continue to throwup market barriers to their competition and receive unfair subsidies in the form of externalities, that is not paying the full cost of their products. If the sky is falling it's because fossil fuels are going the way of the buggy whip.

I can control my bill so that I pay as little as $30 but never more than $80. I pay for exactly what I use and nothing more. Unlike some other carriers I get excellent receiption in rural areas thanks to U.S. Cellular. In addition, I've used my phone in Canada, Ecuador, Hong Kong and Indonesia with no issues and no additional Sims or added charges. Best of all, no contracts or early termination fees what so ever. This makes me even happier I switched to Project Fi.

If you're in a major metro area, T-Mobile is by far the best and cheapest. They also let you tether with all their smartphones without an additional tethering charge. If you're in the boonies, it seems Verizon is the only way to go.

I work on ecological research across rural areas of the Southeast. AT&T coverage is non-existent in many rural areas. Verizon is has much better coverage in the areas where I work.

Comment Increase function instead of lifespan? (Score 1) 569

This research could actually be useful if it increased function at the end of life. Imagine being able to hike, swim, garden, travel into your 80's. No being incapacitated for 10 years before you finally die. No huge bills for nursing homes. Imagine being 80 or 90 and being autonomous, living independently in your own home, until you finally die in your sleep. Such treatments could conceivably pay for themselves through decreased use of the health care system in old age. Win-win.
