So switch them. (Control Panel -> Mouse -> Buttons)

"Caliber" is the diameter of the bullet. Has nothing to do with length/energy/whatever. .45 > .44, which one you'd prefer being shot with doesn't really affect the diameter of the bullet, does it? ;)
