GamePolitics writes: "Seven anti-war protesters were arrested in Philadelphia on Saturday during a protest rally and march which targeted the Army Experience Center, a high-tech recruitment center which uses PC and Xbox games to attract potential recruits. GamePolitics was on hand and provided a live Twitter feed of the protest and also has video of the arrests.

GamePolitics writes: "The European Parliament has actually requested that red, panic-style buttons be set up for use by parents whose children play online games. The buttons would allow the parents to quickly shut the game down should something inappropriate occur. Wouldn't the old-school on-off switch work just as well?"

Prof. Christopher Ferguson cites "moral panic" and criticizes politicians, the news media and some social scientists for playing up what he believes is a false connection between video games and school shooting incidents."
