Milk, Bread and Toilet Paper Alert!

The overnight "storm" scheduled to hit the area is here NOW, making it about four hours earlier than some of the "predictions". For the moment we have rain in Reston, VA USA. A wintery mix of snow, ice, sleet and pestulance is predicted.

There is no telling what things will be like during the morning rush hour. Several inches of ice? Several inches of snow? Several alternating layers of snow and ice?

The only certainties in our bleak, desperate, future are mayhem and mass MBTP stockpiling.

the need people feel to stockpile MBTP every time a storm is predicted.

In most parts of the country the roads will be clear within a few hours and the storm probably won't disrupt deliveries to stores. I mean I can understand picking up milk, bread, or toilet paper if you know you will likely run out in the next 24 hours but the need some people feel to purchase a 6 month supply just baffles me.

I guess this might make sense if you live in rural North Dakota, but most people don't.
