          I get the impression Limbaugh, like an urban myth, becomes much more extreme second-hand: the reality is very different from the version spread by his opponents. (His term "feminazis", to refer to the pro-abortion lobby, gets corrupted into being a hostile term for feminists, rather than an anti-abortion term.)

          • Well, the ground guys aren't supposed to do it unless the PIC tells them to and, back in my days as a ramp agent that was where the bottleneck was.
          • People can be very stupid at times. Having spent an hour in a full 777 with no ground power and a faulty APU - hence no airflow, cool or otherwise - I know this first hand.

            Ow! that is Hell. Full planes with no ground power and no APU aren't any fun to have to spend any time on. The F-28 sometimes would seem like they didn't have any airflow, but the climate control just sucked, they wern't nicknamed "Dutch Ovens" for nothing.

              Ouch indeed; it heats up depressingly quickly. Talking of ovens, did you hear the problem the RAF had with newer C-130s? The galley's regular oven was replaced with a microwave - which made life exciting when the standard foil-wrapped food was heated...

        • I never said Limbaugh was a "hate" show. Heck I even think he's toned the rhetoric *way* down from 10 years ago or so.

          Then again I don't think that O'Reilley is a "hate" show just an ignorant twit. In a debate Limbaugh or Liddy would mop the floor with him.

          I was just pointing out he should consider listening to Limbaugh since he seems to have the same anger inducing properties as O'Reilley in some people. Or at least the people who like to rant on about how awful Rush is seem to be claiming.
