Journal GMontag's Journal: Want to see some real hatred? 7
I finally went to the Holocost museum in D.C. Saturday. On the way back, my date and I saw some nice, peaceful protesters marching around the Capitol Mall, protesting against the Marxist ruler of Venezuela. They sure looked like decent, nice folks. One catchy sign was "OAS Throw Me A Bone". They do have a great cause. Too bad our anti-US protesters do not display this level of decency. I wonder where the Worker's World Party was? Maybe the WWW does not care that much about national strikes agaist Communists? Oh yea, they think the workers in Cuba are fighting against Capitalism.
Now, for the real topic, the wacky 18 January 2003 A.N.S.W.E.R. protest. These guys do not have the best pedegree, being an arm of the Worker's World Party and all. For some reason, they want the Kurds to be destroyed by a dictator. Go figure!
Now, if you want to see some real hatred, just show up at one of their rallies with a clean US flag. These "pacificsts" can get pretty ugly when your speech does not agree with theirs, even if you are not saying anything!
Probably going to write a story for the website from this, especially if I get some good video on these folks' reaction to passive free speech. I would prefer to write a nice article about nice people expressing their opinion.
The plan, and I encourage others to do this too if you are so inclined, is to walk around/through the rally a smaller size flag and a video camera recording their reactions and keeping my mouth shut.

The U.S. Peace Movement. (bada-bing!)
Seriously, these people must be brain damaged. Nobody wants war (especially the average soldier) but to believe that allowing a genocidal dictator to remain in power and continue pursuing weapons of mass destruction while his people suffer is a viable alternative is absolutely idiotic.
What do they suggest as an alternative? More sanctions? Another "election?" Harsh language?
Next thing you know, they're going to call for the U.S. to provide North Korea with light fission reactors in exchange for halting its nuclear weapons program.
Oh, wait...

Coincidentailly, all of the countries attacking/threatening others are Socialist Dictatorships that share the same non-sensical view of a Socialist Utopia. All they have to do is take over the whole world and they will be able to begin Utopia!
Talk about out of touch.
David Horowitz speaks to this often, try to catch him in person or on one of the C-SPANs.

That's an important point to keep in mind -- in the face of what Mr. Hussein's regime is, any `anti-war' protest is objectively a protest in favor of torture and genocide, whatever its intent may be.
For some dark fun on this theme, see this piece [draga.com] from the Wall Street Journal a little while back.
